GROEBNER continuously seeks to expand our partner network with suppliers who offer high quality solutions to the natural gas industry.
GROEBNER continuously seeks to expand our partner network with suppliers who offer high quality solutions to the natural gas industry. One of the more recent additions to our vendor system is Mainline Control Systems (MCS). MCS provides revolutionary new systems for safely stopping the flow of natural gas in pipelines, allowing for repairs and new line connections in place.
The revolutionary component of the Kleiss MCS systems is the unique patented sealing component, Multi-Dimensional Safety (MDS) Stopper. The inflatable MDS Stopper allows these systems to safely stop pipeline flow even when traditional squeezing methods aren’t optimal.
Each set of equipment is designed for use on a range of pipe sizes and are designed to be used on multiple pipe material – polyethylene, steel, cast iron, PVC. This means that one system can be used in many applications no longer needing a unique system for each job.
System | Nominal Pipe Size | Maximum System Pressure | Pipe Materials System Used With
Kleiss MCS60-38 | 3” – 8” | 60 psi | polyethylene, steel, cast iron, PVC
Kleiss MCS60-1016 | 10” – 16” (18” PE) | 60 psi | polyethylene, steel, cast iron, PVC
Kleiss MCS15-1824 | 18” – 24” | 15 psi | polyethylene, steel, cast iron, PVC

Another great advantage that the Kleiss MCS product line offers is its overall size. With a design engineered specifically to minimize weight, volume, and number of parts, these systems are lightweight enough to be moved and installed by hand. There is no large heavy equipment required to place and use the Kleiss MCS systems.
